SMQ handmade began as a hobby for me to cope with a difficult time in my life. I went through several devastating events and did not think that I would ever be myself again. One day I woke up and realized if I wanted change, I had to change. I started thinking of hobbies I had picked up throughout my life and jewelry making was one that I was very passionate about. So I started making jewelry again and slowly things began to feel normal. I saw the woman I used to be emerge, stronger and more confident. It’s funny how something that seems so small can make such a huge impact on a person. My hope is that my pieces bring confidence and beauty to the person wearing them.
